The Atmospheres is a concept of art installation, designed to impact the visitors' emotions. It starts from the exit of the underground path leading passers-by to the heart of the Park. Its main aim is to distract attention from everyday life by offering a surrealistic landscape of harmony and happiness but also a hint of thrill and surprise. The location of the project is planned for Krakow City Centre Park called Planty.
This project is a concept, which I developed for my Master's Degree dissertation. It is based on deep research in the fields of philosophy and psychology; mutual interactions between architecture as a form, colour, immersive performance and the recipient. The conclusion of this research is, that the author is unable to control how their art affects the emotions of the addressed. The artist can only assume, that specific forms will trigger expected reactions. Therefore, architecture as a form of art is subjective and it should create a space for dialogue between maker and receiver.
